Will I be forced by the law to continue taking psychiatric medication?

Yes, your state can force you to take it, but it depends on the severity of your condition, and state laws as to whether they will or not. If they do you will more than likely be placed in a state hospital for a certain stretch and the court will evaluate and monitor you to determine if you will be released.
