Will a drunkard ever mistake a scientific alcohol as a bottle of beer?

I 'm pretty sure he'd notice maybe not care about the difference depending on his/her state. I myself thought it would be a good Idea to take a nip of cooking sherry (I was loaded and dared to) not a good idea....I was puking within moments!
