What are some of the concerns you have for your ageing parents?

My parents are deceased but I can tell you my biggest concern in their final years was their failing health. They would not give up their independence and lived way out in the country. It was so difficult to provide help for them. They should have been living in a handicap accessible home and they needed transportation to and from medical appointments and treatments. My solace is knowing they both died in the home they loved so much. I guess living (and dying) in the place you want to be is worth something. Children can only help as much as their parents will allow.
