Vampires in Twilight?

I think the reason people say this is because they've seen the clic vampire movies like Dracula, and in other books (like Harry Potter) the creatures aren't real creatures, or already made up creatures, so they have no problem imagining them however they want. But when they think of vampired, they already have a strict picture in their head, and Edward just doen't fit.
