Problems with room mates............?

What you could do is have a group discussion, which includes your roommate, and ask to discuss any issues that they'd like to talk about. You could bring up the topic of courtesy and why they think you're being selfish. It's all about open communication. If things are not being addressed then how can you work at a problem you don't know exists?
