Is it ok to run my Ninja 250 on a stand?

Why do you need to warm it in gear?... only benifit i can see is that it would get oil flowing through the box, which really isnt worth the risk of it coming off the stand and driving into something. In fact, with new fuel injection systems you dont even need to warm it up at all. Get on and go.
