I need some infected toe help!!?

The skin directly to the left of the nail on my big toe got infected, and after 2 weeks I went to the doctor about it and she cut it open and squeezed out a little bit of puss and some blood. She gave me a prescription for an antibiotic and told me to put some band aids on it and it should be better in about a week. Its been about 5 days now and I'm getting really worried about it. There's a very weird thing on the crevice of my toeenail in between the infected skin and the toenail itself. At first I thought it was just dried blood, but I checked it out closer and it most def is not. Could it be veins or something?! A tumor??! I'm really freaking out about this, any help as to what this is would be very much appreciated. Thanks so muchb!
