How many people die in Grey's Anatomy?

Ever notice how just about every other episode of Grey's Anatomy there's at least 1 if not more deaths? Not to mention the body count of the season 6 finale. Are these some incompetent doctors or some cruel screenwriters? Thoughts and comments?
