Can boric acid be used for psoriasis relief?

I have had psoriasis for years, and lately it has gotten worse. (stress). I have tried a ton of things but nothing brings me relief. I recently began to notice a lot of people talking about Boric acid. However, they never really say if is it for relief, if it helps clear it up, or what. I just so happen to have boric acid (powdered), My question is, is there anyone who who knows if and how this helps, and if it does, how should I go about applying it?
