Dell Inspiron won't work?

I've got a Dell Inspiron 5150 that only has a blinking underscore in the top right corner when I push the power on. It doesn't load windows or anything just goes straight to the blinking underscore. I've already tested the hard drive and it is good. I'm looking for some suggestions on what could be the problem. Thanks
